UNIT4 Consist - Customer Service Portal
Because the software is used so frequently a lot of questions and improvement proposals are sent to Unit 4 daily.
UNIt4 Consist uses Salesforce. CRM software. All issues filed by end users are also stored in this CRM. Filing and administrating these issues however is very time consuming. That is why their manager support, Ron Woesternburg, decided at the start of 2011 that a customer portal should be built. This portal should provide the users a way to interact with the data in Salesforce.
Proteon built the new Customer Portal (https://www.u4selfservice.nl) based on the Content Management Systeem Plone. We created a flexible way of connecting to Salesforce, where UNIT4 can create queries themselves. Thereby letting the system be flexible to adapt to future changes in Salesforce. Unit4 can manage users with access to the portal themselves as well by (un)checking a single checkbox in Salesforce.
